At Sight and Life, through their Eggciting Program, they are supporting smallholder poultry business models in Kenya, Ethiopia, Malawi, and India. They are also piloting new innovations in egg production, egg-based products, models, tools, and approaches to address protein and micronutrient malnutrition among the most vulnerable groups, women, and children.

With scattered resources, building a one-stop-shop both internally and for others working in the field was necessary. This resource also had to act as a tool for funding and collaboration to work towards the common goal – an egg a day for everyone in low-and-middle-income countries.

Visual Identity

The branding needed to be both unique and also include elements of the parent brand: Sight and Life. I started by looking at the identities of similar websites. Almost every website had 'one egg' as its logo. The Egg hub was more than that.

I started by looking at photos from their field visits, and their partners on the ground. It became clear that the branding had to connect to both the demand and the supply sides.

I presented the different rounds of iterations of the logo, and visuals to the team and finally we went ahead with the motif of an egg crate with rounded edges. Vertical and horizontal tie-ups were made to make sure they translated well across mediums.
